Going Green at Home
Generally as human beings, we are of good nature and usually have the best of intention for our future. However, because we become taken up with our hectic lifestyles, we often procrastinate and almost never keep to our plans. In the case of conservation, we keep saying that we meant to use Eco-friendly products, start a compost pile or begin recycling, but we never get around to doing it. Surprisingly it is much more easier than we think. Nowadays there are many easy, simple practices we can start as well as products we can purchase to save the planet.

All we have to do is be aware of our surroundings and practice these new habits and you and the rest of the world will have a brighter future!

Going Green at the Workplace
Typically many people throughout the world strive to conserve energy at home, but toss the "green thinking" aside as soon as they arrive at the office. The thought that it's okay to waste resources as long as you don't have to pay for them needs to be diminished. A greener workplace can not only help the environment, but also create a healthier and more productive workplace. Actions that benefit only yourself need to be monitored such as printing out fifty pages of notes to read on the bus or grabbing a wad of ten napkins in the cafeteria. Even ignoring little things in the office such as a toilet with a running flush just waiting for maintenance to acknowledge it can waste valuable resources. Automobiles are a major contributor to global warming. Their pollution also causes severe health problems for many. Traffic congestion, is already costing us an estimated $168 billion annually in lost productivity, and it is expected to triple in coming years, wasting more productivity and fuel and worsening our air quality. Our auto habits have caused increasing dependency on oil imports, much of it coming from unstable parts of the world. Today, we import more than 54% of our petroleum needs, and this number is estimated to reach more than 60% by the year 2010.
